Like all branches of my site, I set out on this project with the goal of teaching myself another aspect of website design. I wanted to catalogue all of my mother's recipes and create a searchable database using php and mySQL. I have not yet started on this project, so enjoy, in the meantime, Mom's evaporating cookies:
Chocolate Chip Cookies with Coconut and Oats
Preheat oven to 325-350F.
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 T milk
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t baking powder
- salt
- 1/2 c oats
- 3/4 c coconut
- 12 oz milk chocolate chips
Mix more or less in the order given. This recipe calls for 12 oz of chocolate chips, but we've always used less -- more like 8-9 oz. We use a mixture of milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Bake at 325-350 for eleven or so minutes. The cookies should be very lightly brown on top.
To make them evaporate, introduce them to a large crowd of people. You will find yourself with many new friends.
